Gomati River Expedition 2011

The forgotten river

According to Hindu mythology the river is daughter of Sage Vashistha, and bathing in the waters of the Gomati can wash away one's sins.

-The Gomti River, also known as the Gomati, is a tributary of the Ganges River. The Gomti originates from Gomat Tall, a lake in Pilibhit, India very close to the nepal boarder.
It extends 805 km through Uttar Pradesh. Here Sultanpur Jaunpur and the state captial Lucknow are located on the banks of the Gomti.

-With 3 Inflatable boats RIBEX is sailing the Gomti river all the way to Varanasi the holiest place in the world and one of the oldest cities in the world.

-The Expedition is scheduled for 15.-30.September 2011.

-You can join us for the Trip €2000.

The key inspiration behind the Gomti expedition, is the unique natural beauty along this forgotten river and the fascinating diversity of ancient culture by its banks.
